I'm Emily, and the Pink Tiki Glass Studio is my workspace in Gainesville, Florida.
I began this journey in 2019 while on a cross-country road trip with my pup, Giselle. We stopped in Oakland, CA so I could take Bullseye's week-long class, Drawing with Glass. It was my intro to powdered glass, vitrograph, frit, stencils, and the fundamentals of firing schedules.
That week, I spent hours crouched over my glass projects. But the time flew by & all I wanted was more time - more hours, more minutes, so many more days - with the glass. Clearly, I'd found my passion.
In 2021 I purchased my kiln, a supply of glass, and the basic glass-cutting tools to begin this next part of my glass journey. It feels like the trip is still going & I couldn't be more happy with the direction it's taken.
My art takes on bright island colors with salty, sunny undertones, and blends them abstractly with Florida's naturally wild imagery.
No matter your taste, budget or style, I hope you find a Pink Tiki piece that’s both a creative gem and a functional find for your space.
If there’s a piece that interests you and you’d like to talk customization, please reach out! Most colors, patterns and overall shape can be adjusted while still keeping the vibe of the glass. Your own ideas are also welcome. Let’s work it out! ✌️
